Do I have to be homebound or bedbound to receive home care physical therapy?

No. If you are unable to leave home without help or leaving home takes considerable amounts of effort and time. According to Medicare you can be homebound and still leave home for medical treatment or short, infrequent absences for non-medical reasons, such as trips to a barber or church. A need for adult day care doesn’t keep you from getting home health care.

What does a physical therapist do?

Physical Therapists are specialized health care professional which works with patients to restore their physical mobility after a debilitating injury or illness. They also implement an exercise program which can further assist in your road to recovery.

What types of equipment do you bring with you?

At Home Active Motion Physical therapy will bring cuff weights, resistive bands, massage cream, TEN’s Unit (if needed),  blood pressure cuff, home exercise sheets,goniometer, tape measure and the knowledge needed for a fun filled therapy session. In addition, we also order assistive devices as needed from local medical supply vendors.

How long will treatments last and how often should I have them?

This treatment depends on the referring doctor’s prescription regarding duration and frequency of treatment. 

What insurance companies are you providers for?

We accept Medicare part B and also involved with a few other insurance companies as well such as MLTC’s.

I’m concerned about my privacy. What is the policy regarding private information?
