
Dr. Rosario Accardi
Dr. Rosario Accardi is an accomplished health care professional with 17 years’ experience in the health field. At the age of 15 Dr. Rosario was a volunteer at Brookdale Hospital in their Hematology, Microbiology, Pathology and ER departments. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of At Home Active Motion Physical Therapy and Kids Plus Therapy Works which is a pediatric physical therapy company. Both companies were founded in 2006 by Dr. Accardi.From 2006-2008 Dr. Accardi held the title of Director of Rehabilitation for Elmhurst Care Center. His professional expertise includes working with Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, Multiple Sclerosis and stroke patients. He is experienced in treating patients who have had hip or knee replacements along with those recuperating from falls or those experiencing muscle weaknesses.In addition to being a medical certified health care technologist, his educational credentials include, a Bachelor’s in biology, Master’s and a Doctorate in physical therapy from D’Youville College, Buffalo, New York.An active professional, Dr. Accardi is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (Geriatrics and Home Care Section); Gerontology Professionals of New York; Execuleaders; Senior Umbrella Networking Group of Nassau County; American Home Care Physicians; Gotham Networking(Health Care Group) and the Long Island Coalition of the Aging. Dr. Accardi is also an avid speaker for Senior Centers as well as the community regarding fall preventions and how to minimize falls throughout your home and environment.
